Timing is everything.

My trusty eyeball timing gauge I've been using for years has never been too far off, well enough to rip roar around town for years, but having that perfecto spot on timing can make a night and day difference in the way an engine performs. I had been meaning to purchase the Buzzetti Timing Tool for years, so I did! from my friend Chad Burke at his online moped shop Quarterkick.com. As usual, they threw in a convenient travel size oil ratio bottle, and this time I also got a kind note from the man himself.
The tool works by threading it into the spark plug threads, then by rotating the flywheel you... You know what? The broken english instructions put it pretty well:

"Slacken the knurled screw wich[sic] will allow the plunger to move freely. Carefully thread the tool into the spark plug hole and screw it full in. Turn the flywheel gently. The movement of the plunger will show the exact position of the top dead centre. Tighten the screw which prevent further movement of the plunger. Turn the knurled adjuster body in a clockwise direction to establish the correct advance according to the manufacturer's recommendation.
Each Full turn of the knurled adjuster corresponds to mm. 1 of advance. Each graduation is equal to 1/10 of a millimetre."

Anyway it's a rad tool that I recommend everyone buy, or pay to borrow mine, as these suckers aint cheap, and are fairly hard to come by. The AD has proved the massive benefits of proper timing, as once it was sluggish, now it is no longer sluggish: It's all in the timing.

Oh yeah, this zany irresponsible death contraption Responsilble Philip made is AMAZING in both ways good and bad! The best of both worlds!

I suggest he reads this safety manual before operating this trike 'vehicle'

  1. Thanks for the instruction manual. I'll be sure to stay on the sidewalk with this rig.
